Like the nearby Cropton site of Forest Holidays, this place has everything you need for a family holiday deep in the forests, in one of the most scenic corners of England. Here there are 59 cabins, from the magnificent 8-sleeping Golden Oak Treehouse to the Golden Oak Cottage, which sleeps 2.
All the cabins are highly spacious, complete with Television, wifi (an optional extra), luxurious en-suite robes (only included in the Golden Oak cabins as standard), and some are wheelchair-accessible and dog-friendly.
The Forest Retreat is the site ‘s center, with a cafeteria and restaurant, a store, and children’s play area; you can hire bikes here and even book site tours with the Forest Ranger, who does wildlife-spotting and bushcraft.
